About Shopapalooza
Shopapalooza started in 2010 as a small idea with a big goal: get Tampa Bay shopping local. Founded by LocalShops1 and Ester Venouziou, that first festival drew about 30-35 vendors to the old BayWalk in downtown St. Petersburg (now Sundial). The festival moved to the old St. Pete Pier in 2011, then South Straub Park from 2012-2018, growing every year along the way. By 2018, Shopapalooza had grown to roughly 225 vendors, and the City of St. Petersburg let us know we'd officially outgrown the space.
In 2019, Shopapalooza moved to Vinoy Park (skipping 2020 for the pandemic, like everyone else) and hasn't looked back since. Today it's one of the biggest small-business celebrations in the country, with more than 350 vendors, makers, artists and food trucks from across Tampa Bay filling the park each November.
At its core, Shopapalooza is still what it's always been: a celebration of local. Local shops, local makers, local artists, local flavor, all in one place, for one incredible weekend.
In 2019, Shopapalooza moved to Vinoy Park (skipping 2020 for the pandemic, like everyone else) and hasn't looked back since. Today it's one of the biggest small-business celebrations in the country, with more than 350 vendors, makers, artists and food trucks from across Tampa Bay filling the park each November.
At its core, Shopapalooza is still what it's always been: a celebration of local. Local shops, local makers, local artists, local flavor, all in one place, for one incredible weekend.
